Vinylthon 2026 kicks off this weekend, April 18–19, uniting nearly 250 radio stations around the world in celebration of the warmth, artistry, and community of vinyl broadcasting.
Adding to the excitement, WVYL – Vinyl Radio is now officially live! DIRECT LINK HERE WVYL is a special pop-up station (streaming on Live365) created to honor the heritage of radio and the timeless joy of turntables. Listeners can tune in and make a donation at wvyl.org or vinylthon.com — every contribution helps fund student scholarships for those pursuing careers in the radio industry.
All donations support the mission of the College Radio Foundation, whose goal is to fuel radio’s future by providing grants and scholarships that help the next generation of broadcasters get on the air and stay there. “When you support Vinylthon and WVYL, you are directly helping students who dream of working in radio take their next step into the industry,” says Dr. Tim Craig, of the College Radio Foundation Board.
This year also marks the debut of the Vinylthon Legend Award, which celebrates individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to radio. The inaugural recipient, John Records Landecker, is a true radio legend whose decades on the air, trademark creativity, and deep love of music have helped define the sound and spirit of Top 40 and oldies radio for generations of listeners and broadcasters.
