The College Radio Foundation stands with WCSB and the Cleveland State community as they endure an abrupt station shutdown that has silenced student voices after nearly 50 years of meaningful, diverse programming.
Removing WCSB’s student programming, especially on World College Radio Day, is cruel. It’s a day when we celebrate the student and community voices on college radio stations— and this decision robs students and volunteers of a vital outlet and denies underrepresented communities access to trusted cultural content. It’s disrespectful to the volunteers who have given years, and decades, of their time and passion, for WCSB radio and their listeners.
We honor the legacy of all who gave their hearts to WCSB and urge renewed support for student-run media everywhere.
