Warwick, NY – April 17, 2026 – Due to popular demand, WVYL: Vinyl Radio, a temporary, mostly vinyl-only pop-up station, is extending its run through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 25. WVYL celebrates the warmth, history, and artistry of music on vinyl, and is now also available as an iHeart station, making it easier than ever for listeners to tune in from anywhere to this very unique broadcast.

As part of Vinylthon weekend, WVYL will showcase an ambitious all-vinyl marathon by taking the live stream of OWWR (Old Westbury Web Radio is the official radio station of SUNY Old Westbury) which is broadcasting 48 consecutive hours of vinyl-only programming. This special simulcast highlights the shared passion of radio stations and music fans who value the unique sound and storytelling power of records.
At 12:00 a.m. on Monday following Vinylthon weekend, WVYL will then continue its extended run by repeating its shows from the previous week at different times of the day. This refreshed schedule gives new listeners more opportunities to discover WVYL’s programming and offers existing listeners the chance to catch shows they may have missed for one final time.
“WVYL was launched as a limited-time celebration of vinyl, but the audience response has exceeded expectations,” said Rob Quicke, co-founder of WVYL. “The extension through April 25 and our presence on iHeart show how much listeners value a curated, human-driven radio experience built around great music and passionate broadcasters.”
WVYL is a limited-duration station designed to spotlight vinyl records and curated music programming that stands apart from algorithm-driven playlists. With its extended end date, listeners now have additional time to experience this unique, all-vinyl radio event before the station signs off after April 25.
